Summers often remind us of the heat, sweat, tan and frizzled hair. Now that the dreadful season is slowly sneaking upon us, here are a few must-haves to escape the ‘straight out of oven’ look! Make sure you carry them along.
Sunscreen: The first and foremost importance you need to give during summer is your skin. No matter where your going, ensure you use a good sun block lotion, to prevent skin from harmful rays!
Cleansing, toning, moisturizing: These are 3 little but essential treatments your skin requires everyday, but more importantly during summer. Cleansing your skin removes dead cells and impurities, toning tightens the skin and moisturizing makes your skin soft and supple. Make sure you use an oil-free moisturizer.
Umbrella: An umbrella is a must-have in your bag during summer. Carrying an umbrella will help you safeguard your hair, skin and prevent your body from De-hydration. You could pick a fancy one and also try and team it with your attire.
Anti-frizz serum for hair: Split ends and hair fall are common visitors during summers. To keep them at bay, ensure you use a good shampoo, conditioner and most of all an anti-frizz serum, to keep your hair in healthy and stylish!
Water proof make-up: Of course you don’t want your mascara running down your cheek along with your sweat! Summers are no excuse to keep those make-up products at bay, especially if your profession demands you wear make-up! Invest in some good water-proof mascara, eye-liners, kajals and lip sticks.
Fluids to keep yourself hydrated: No matter how much your solid intake, make sure you boost your liquid intake during summer. If you are travelling, carry a bottle of water. Juices, tender coconut water, energy drinks and other cooling fluids are most recommended to beat the heat. Aerated drinks are a big NO. Hydration also prevents skin from drying up.
Cotton clothes: Cotton is the fabric for summer. Cool tees with cotton pants or capris will be ideal for college goers. Smart striped or checked cotton shirts teamed with linen pants would make for a comfortable formal attire during summer. Make sure you also fetch a pair of airy cotton shorts for your casual wear.
