The NDTV survey on the political situation in the state has created ripples in the state political circles, and as one would naturally expect, the Telugu Desam Party has rejected the survey outright, describing it as a fabricated survey.
TDP leader A Revanth Reddy said there was absolutely no credibility to the survey conducted by the NDTV predicting that 48 per cent of the people in the state want YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to become the next chief minister and only 17 per cent of the voters want TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to be the next CM.
“Everybody knows that the NDTV has a business understanding with Sakshi TV owned by Jaganmohan Reddy. It clearly shows that the survey was commissioned by Sakshi management. Had NDTV conducted the survey after cutting off the business links with Sakshi, there would have been some credibility to it. But the NDTV has only chosen to serve the interests of Jagan. This is completely against the media ethics and values. We will complain to the Editor’s Guild,” Revanth Reddy said.
Let us suppose for a minute agree with Revanth because NDTV has an understanding with Sakshi. But what about the recent India Today-Nielsen survey? It also predicted that YSR Congress party would win 22-23 MP seats from Andhra, while the Congress party would win five seats and the TRS 10 seats. This is more or less similar to NDTV survey. Does Revanth say even India Today survey is fabricated?
